I am a Certified Clinical Supervisor that believes good supervision supports and assists the provider with gaining the knowledge and confidence needed to provide quality care. You will understand the power of your self-care and I will challenge you to be curious, identify your blindspots and utilize your values and authenticity, to provide quality care and decrease personal burnout. You will learn key skills that will assist you with helping your clients meet their therapeutic goals and will help you manage agency politics and challenges. Supervision sessions will be an hour.
It is important that you work for a board approved agency, that will consent for you to receive outside supervision. Individual and/or group supervision will take place on a weekly basis. You will be responsible for tracking your hours and I will be responsible for completing and signing your documentation.
Participating in group consultation will allow you to have a space where you get to connect, share and overcome sticking points with your clients. We will identify your growing edges and provide feedback needed that will allow you to help your clients meet their therapeutic goals. This group requires full participation and sharing of key experiences through note taking of your emotional and somatic responses to interventions being provided.
If you are a therapist that works with the BIPOC community you will receive guidance and support on how to allow yourself to be fully present and challenge and identify existing beliefs, stereotypes, and micro-aggressions that may be presenting themselves in your sessions and affecting your ability to provide the care you can and want to provide. You will be able to identify nuances, signs and challenges in your session that may be culturally and racially charged and learn to manage them successfully.
