Family Constellations- Healing Across Lineage, Story & Spirit

Family Constellations heps you understand the emotional patterns, loyalties, roles, and stories carried in your lineage- and how they shape the way you protect, love, survive, and show up today.

You don't have to carry what was never yours, and we do respect why it was passed down

The Lineage Behind Family Constellations

According to the readings in Zulu healing practices, healing is never an individual act.
It is a collective, ancestral, and spiritual process- one that honors the living, the dead, and the yet-to-be-born.

They teach that unresolved pain, unspoken stories, and interrupted bonds flow through the generations, shaping the emotional patterns we carry today.

This is the lineage that inspired and is the root of Family Constellations.
And it deserves to be named, honored, and respected.

My Introduction to This Work

A spiritual, somatic, mental awakening rooted in me took place.

My first Family Constellations workshop wasn't just a simple workshop-
it was an Awakening.

The moment I stepped into the field, something moved me and I was not sure of what it was. But it brought to light what I had been ignoring or didn't have the language or personal experience regarding my maternal ancestral lineage.

It awakened the spiritual roots passed down by my mother, grandmother, and older ancestors who have passed on- the stories that once felt distant, suddenly became embodied.

As I have continued learning, practicing, researching and having authentic conversations, this work continues to shape how I honor lineage, identity, culture, and the emotional inheritance carried through families.

What This Work Helps You Understand

Family Constellations can grant clarity around:
  • repeating relationship patterns
  • the "Strong One" role
  • emotional burdens, identify, and cultural disconnection
  • difficulty setting boundaries within family systems
  • grief, loss, migration, and ancestral wounds
  • feeling responsible for others' emotions
  • patterns learned for survival

These patterns often didn't start with you- but they can heal with you.

How Family Constellations Works

This is experiential and embodied work- not much talking or thinking

Experiential

You step into relational, symbolic and embodied imagery that represents your faimily system.

Somatic

Your body often reveals emotional truths long before your mind does.

Ancestral

Your lineage is honored, not judged- understood, not erased

Culturally grounded

We hold space for migration, colonization, identity, obligation, and the emotional labor carried by our ancestors and our present selves.

This work is gentle, powerful, forward and deeply clarifying for most.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Family Constellations?

Family Constellations is an experiential, somatic, and relational healing approach that explores the emotional patterns, roles, and inherited stories carried through your lineage. It helps illuminate what you have been holding for generations — and gently supports you in releasing what is not yours to carry.
It was made popular and into a therapeutic modality by Bert Hellinger.

What can I expect if I participate as a representative in a Family Constellations workshop?

Representatives are not acting — they are attuning. You may be invited into a role that symbolizes a family member, emotion, or dynamic. Your only responsibility is to notice what arises in your body: sensations, impulses, emotions, movements.
You are gently guided and supported throughout the process. Many representatives discover that participating brings unexpected clarity and healing to their own lineage, even when the constellation is not about them.

Are Family Constellations sessions covered by insurance?

No. Family Constellations workshops are self‑pay and not covered by insurance, as this work is experiential, spiritual‑ancestral, and not classified as billable therapy.

Are Family Constellations workshops virtual or in‑person?

At this time Family Constellations is offered in person only. Because this work is relational, somatic, and energetic, shared physical space is essential for the process to unfold safely and fully and I prefer this style for now.

Who can attend these workshops?

Workshops are open to individuals in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and surrounding areas. And to anyone curious about healing family patterns, ancestral connections, or emotional dynamics within their lineage is welcome.

Do I need to know anything beforehand or prepare for the workshop?

No preparation is required. You simply arrive with openness, curiosity, and willingness to explore. You’ll be oriented to the space and guided throughout the process.

Is this the same as traditional family therapy?

No. Family Constellations is not traditional talk therapy and does not require family members to be present. It is a systemic, ancestral, embodied process rooted in symbolism, relational movement, and somatic awareness.

What happens during a constellation?

A participant (the “seeker”) shares a theme or pattern they want clarity around. Representatives are chosen to embody different parts of the system — such as family members, emotions, or relationships. Through movement, awareness, and body‑based truth, hidden dynamics become visible and healing movements naturally emerge.

Is Family Constellations emotionally intense?

It can be tender, illuminating, and powerful — but it is always facilitated with grounding, safety, and pacing. You will not be pushed into anything you are not ready for, and we always close with practices to help you leave the space feeling complete.

Do I have to share personal details about my family?

Sometimes yes, but only if you choose to. Many constellations require very little information. The work often emerges through the body, the field, and the relational movements of the group.

What if I don’t want to be a representative?

Your consent matters. You are always free to observe instead of participating. Observers often experience emotional resonance and clarity just by witnessing. Do note, you are still part of the field.

How do I know if Family Constellations is right for me?

If you feel stuck in repeating patterns, carry emotional burdens that feel older than you, notice generational echoes in your relationships, or feel a pull toward ancestral healing — Family Constellations may be aligned for you.
